Spalding personal trainer wins top award
A personal trainer has landed a top award thanks to his ‘unique’ approach to motivating his clients.
Kieran James, who operates out of Pinchbeck’s Snap Fitness, caught the judges’ eye with his in-gym and online approach.
Last week Kieran discovered he had been named Personal Trainer of the Year at the Best of the Best awards.
The awards, which focus on the UK fitness industry, take into account trainers’ public personas, as well as the way they interact with clients.
“They looked at my social media, they look at the way you interact and sell yourself and present yourself,” explained Kieran, who lives in Spalding.
“The judges were very impressed and said that as this was the first time I’d been entered into one of these awards, that winning first time was good going.”
Kieran, 27, says he loves being on the journey with his clients, helping them change their lifestyles and witnessing the improvements they make both physically and mentally.
And he says that helped land him his award.
“The judge I spoke with said I used a unique approach, showcased an exceptional community and true-to-life expectations,” Kieran added.
“I like to show off my clients’ success. the judges noticed that.”
Kieran, 27, took the plunge two-and-a-half years ago, decided to quit his job in education to set up his PT business.
And there’s no looking back, adding he’s ‘loving’ his new direction.
“I want to show PTing for what it should be,” the former Gleed Boys pupil added.
“It’s meant to be a journey, not a four-week fix-up.
“Everything takes time but the rewards are there nwhen you work at it.”
Kieran – who charts his clients’ progress at KieranJames_PT on both Facebook and Instagram – has also launched a podcast which sees him interview local athletes about their journeys.
This can be found by searching KieranJamesPT on both YouTube and Spotify.
