Phone scammers targeting elderly and vulnerable in Spalding and Holbeach

Police in Spalding are putting out a warning after scammers have targeted elderly and vulnerable people over the phone.
The callers are claiming to be police officers warning of unauthorised transactions on bank accounts before then asking the people to withdraw large amounts of cash.
A spokesman said: "Police will never ask you for personal details over the phone and will NEVER ask you to withdraw money from your accounts.
