Long Sutton scenes from the air to promote town
A series of short films showing Long Sutton from the air has been celebrated a "good news story" for the town.
Aerial views of the town's Friday market, Men's Shed and sports clubs, as well as pubs, restaurants, shops and St Mary's Church, have been filmed by a South Holland business.
Drone Support Services, run by managing director Richard Mitchell and his wife Helen, worked with Long Sutton district councillors Jack Tyrrell and David Wilkinson on the project aimed at promoting the town and its services.
Mr Mitchell, who filmed scenes of South Holland during the first lockdown in the spring, said: "I called South Holland District Council and asked if there was any way I could help them by taking shots of the local community.
"Then someone from the council's communications department called me to say that somebody from Long Sutton would like to show off the Friday market and attract people into the town.
"I had a series of conversations with Jack and David who both described what they wanted, starting with the market and then growing to show off Long Sutton as a town.

"It was an amazing project, one where my wife got involved with the filming, and we've both come to love Long Sutton."
Coun Tyrrell said: "I think Richard and Helen have done a top job, they listened to everything we wanted and nothing was too much trouble for them.
"Nobody really knows Long Sutton until you see it from the air and so I'm hoping that the people who live and work here will see what a great place it is around them."
Coun Wilkinson said: "We thought it was important that people realised what we've got in Long Sutton.
"I think the films are a good news story for the town and the businesses we've shown them to have been absolutely over the moon with them."
