Holbeach model show raised money for good cause
Model enthusiasts flocked to Holbeach for a show that raised cash for a great cause.
There were planes, trains and automobiles to marvel at as the IPSM Fenland and Spalding Model Club held its Wings and Things model show.
The show, held at University Academy Holbeach, gave people a chance to display their models while also giving a helping hand to those who want to try the hobby.
More than 30 clubs from across the country attended, plus traders selling model kits and the equipment needed to put them together.
Club member Iain Braid was delighted with the response, with heaps of cash raised for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
He said: “While we are still finalising figures, we will be donating about £2,000. Around 200 people came along and we held a minute’s silence for the Queen at the show before we gave out prizes.”
