Planners give plan for 400 Pinchbeck homes the go-ahead
Plans to build a total of 400 new homes in Pinchbeck have been approved tonight (Wednesday).
Ashley King Developments had applied for permission from South Holland District Council's planning committee to build 100 homes, with an outline permission for a further 300, in the village.
The green light was given to the 'hybrid application' for land off Yews Farm on Spalding Road at a meeting tonight.
While the application will be contributing towards the costs of the Spalding Western Relief Road - with the site next to the roundabout for this road - concerns had been raised about 'over development' in the area.
Further issues had also been raised about highways safety, traffic increase and congestion on Spalding Road.
In agreeing to the proposal, councillors did add a condition that will see a contribution made to a new cemetery in Pinchbeck.
