Pinchbeck War Memorial set for rededication service




Pinchbeck’s War Memorial looks set to have a rededication service.

Members of the village’s branch of the Royal British Legion made the request to Pinchbeck Parish Council.

The idea was was given the green light at Monday evening’s meeting, held at the Community Hub and Library.

Chairman Coun James Avery said he was ‘happy to do that’, when discussing the proposals.

It was agreed the plans would be put to Rev David Sweeting, with all further arrangements of the service yet to be made.

Councillors agreed to join this year’s Remembrance Service Parade, which will take place on Sunday, November 13.

The village’s lampposts have also been adorned with around 120 large poppies this week as tributes to those who gave their lives for their country continue to be made.
