Second phase of Spalding development goes in with plans for 150 homes lodged
Plans have gone in for the second phase of a major development in Spalding.
Broadgate Homes received planning permission in 2012 to build 2,250 dwellings on land off The Broadway, as part of the Holland Park development.
The developer has now submitted a reserved matters application for 150 homes on an 18.77 acre site to south west of Spalding.
The design statement states that the latest batch of houses will include a mixture of two bedroom to five bedroom units.
Meanwhile Ashwood Homes has been given permission to build 38 more homes in Holbeach.
The developer will be allowed to build on a former agricultural field to the west of Fen Road.
The land is next to a larger Ashwood development of 83 homes that was given approval in October 2020.
The new site will include three one-bed, six two-bed, 26 three-bed and three four-bed homes.
Permission was granted - with a section 106 deal to be sought to secure £25,080 to pay for extra healthcare facilities and £113,070 to fund four extra primary and four more secondary school places.
Holbeach Parish Council had objected.
