Weston Fun Farm owners are looking forward to reopen
The owner of a place centre is looking forward to reopening for business next week.
Karen Slator (59) owns Weston’s Fun Farm and says she and her staff are excited to get back to work at last.
She said:“We are very pleased to announce that we are opening again tomorrow (Monday).
“We are extremely happy to welcome back all of our customers after the most recent lockdown- it seems like an awfully long time since we saw the little ones playing on the soft play equipment and we have missed them all.”
Karen will be keeping on top of bookings and cleaning to make sure her play areas are safe for everyone.
“To start with we will be running pre-booked sessions at a 30% capacity and we will be closing between sessions to enable us to clean the play equipment.
“We have a large and airy building so ventilation will not be a problem, and loads of room to ensure our tables will be really well spread out.”
She is already planning for the next guidelines changes, which are planned to come into effect next month.
“Hopefully, after June 21 announcement, we will be able to offer parties again as we feel extremely sorry for all the children who have missed out on their birthday celebrations. Some children have even missed two years if their birthday date fell in the wrong month.”
Oliver Sneath (33), an owner at The Sessions House in Spalding, is just as excited but is treading carefully upon reopening for weddings.
“We’re excited. We’ve got our first Covid-safe wedding at the end of May, which we’re looking forward to,” he said.
“We are maybe taking it a bit carefully as a business, focusing more on the end of the year when full restrictions have been lifted and things like parties can go ahead again as normal.
“I think we’ll have a cautious start when we’re able to reopen, which is what we’re comfortable with.”
Local bookstore and cafe, Bookmark, will also open next week. Owner Darren Sutton (46) is excited to welcome back customers from Monday.
“It’ll be really nice to see customers back into the shop, and especially the cafe.” he said.
“All the staff can’t wait”.
