Spalding's Lincolnshire Poacher pub sets out timeframe to finally reopen
The new owner of a much-loved Spalding pub has set out the timescale for its reopening.
Cameron Bean has been carrying out renovation works to the Lincolnshire Poacher over the past few months.
However, in a post on social media he said he is hoping that after a few setbacks he will be able to get the pub open within the next eight weeks.
Although a definite date has not been set, it is hoped that the pub will be open 'any time from the next few weeks to the end of October'.
The statement on Facebook reads: "Just as we thought we were nearly ready to welcome you lovely lot in, we were met with set backs after set backs which forced our decision to delay the opening.
"From blocked drainage pipes flooding the downstairs, to companies letting us down last minute after weeks of wait which forced us to source alternative suppliers with a wait list - you name it, we have had it all!
"After weeks of the unknown, we are so so happy to finally say that we are finally back on track!
"We are still finalising some bits and pieces, but what we can say is… we will be opening!"
