Lincolnshire Police appeal for public to help with enquiries following death of Whaplode Drove youngster Amy Cooper




Lincolnshire Police are calling on the public to help with their enquiries following the death of 20-year-old Whaplode Drove resident Amy Cooper.

Amy - full name Amelia Dawn - passed away on Sunday evening after a grey BMW 3 series estate collided with her green Kawasaki motorcycle in the B1168 New River Gate in Holbeach at 4.59pm.

The police are asking for anyone who has any video footage in the area - including CCTV, Ring doorbells or similar recording devices that were recording between 4pm and 5.30pm on Sunday - to come forward and help with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Luke Wells of the police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “As part of our investigation, I am asking for any video footage between 4pm and 5.30pm on Sunday, 13 November, in the Gedney Hill and Holbeach Drove areas.

“Please call the team, and we will get in touch to see if the footage may be useful in our inquiries.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call 101 quoting incident 270 of November 13.

A Lincolnshire Police statement revealed a 28 year-old-man has been released on police bail.

However, he has been also been arrested for breaching his prison release licence conditions and has been recalled to prison.
