Lincolnshire Police car and silver Vauxhall involved in crash on B1173 Cowbit Road in Spalding
A police car has been involved in a crash on a town road this afternoon.
The two car collision is reported to have happened on Cowbit Road, Spalding, at 1.38pm – and is causing traffic delays both ways.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson has confirmed: “It’s a collision involving a silver Vauxhall and a police car.
“Injuries reported – inquiries are ongoing.”
The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance has confirmed they attended a crash in Spalding this afternoon.
A spokesman said: “In the afternoon of October 23, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance’s crew responded by helicopter to a road traffic collision in Spalding working alongside our colleagues in East Midlands Ambulance Service, Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.
“Our doctor and paramedic team were by the patient’s side in 21 minutes, bringing with them the equivalent of an A&E department, a journey that would have taken an hour by road.”
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has confirmed that its Spalding crew attended the two vehicle collision on Cowbit Road.
A spokesman said: “The crew provided first aid to two casualties on scene.”
