South Holland Police make one arrest which was unrelated to Spalding Flower Parade

Spalding Flower Parade has passed peacefully with police saying just one arrest has been made.

Insp Matt Dickinson said the parade had been an ‘excellent success’ and that the only arrest made was unrelated to the event.

Additional officers were drafted into the area to aid with ‘community reassurance and safety’ during the day.

Insp Dickinson, who walked along with the parade, said: “The event has been an excellent success.

There was only one arrest made, which was unrelated to the parade.

“It has been a wonderful day. It was fantastic to be out in the sunshine and seeing so many of our community coming together and enjoying themselves.”
