Athena Holbeach toasts success with relaunch party




A popular hair and beauty salon enjoyed a relaunch party to celebrate doubling its numbers of staff.

Athena Holbeach offers a holistic approach to clients – with services including hair and make-up, teeth whitening, hair extensions, personal trainer, lash technician, aesthetics, beautician, sunbed, spray tans and pamper sessions.

Based at 21 High Street, Holbeach – people often even pop in just for a cup of tea and a chat – owner and manager Chelsy Sharpe (34) said : “We had a party to celebrate new staff and a few more exciting products.

“We first started with four staff and have doubled in the space of a few months.”

The relaunch party, which happened on Saturday, invited clients along and collaborated with other small independent businesses.

The Crafty Couple designed a balloon arch, Ohana made the cocktails and Silverwood Tea Rooms in Long Sutton were also involved.

Mrs Sharpe said: “We collaborate with other businesses as it is important to support each other – that’s what it’s all about. They all did a great job and I am very thankful.”

The salon is offering a 10% discount on all treatments in September and also provides a 20% discount to NHS Blue Light card holders which is close to her heart.

She said: “The NHS saved my son’s life who has a heart condition – he is only four – and they (NHS) don’t get enough credit.”

She added: “We want customers to leave here feeling more positive.

“Women can come and get rid of their problems and feel like a weight has been lifted.”

Mrs Sharpe has four children who she intends to pass the business onto and she said: “This is something for my children.

“If I can give them something positive – the salon is to big each other up not pull each other down.

“Everyone says Holbeach needed this.”
