Spalding man Andrew Wenham given 16-month drink-drive ban
A Spalding man who failed to take into account the amount he had drunk the previous day, has been banned from driving for 16 months.
After receiving 'information', police arrested 62-year-old Andrew Walter Wenham in Rangell Gate, Spalding.
Wenham, of High Street, admitted driving a Landrover Discovery with 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on December 9, when police followed him at 10pm.
He thought he had been under the limit, as he had only drank two pints, but he had failed to take account of alcohol already in his body.
He was banned from driving for 16 months, but this will be reduced by 16 weeks if he completes a rehabilitation programme.
He was also fined £345 and £119 in costs and charges.
