MP officially opens prosecco bar at Spalding's Hill's Department Store

South Holland’s MP visited the Hills Department Store today to officially open its new prosecco bar.

The store, which was allowed to reopen to shoppers on April 12, was refurbished earlier this year after being bought over by Scott Crowson of the Coneys Clothing Stores in Lincoln and Boston.

MP Sir John Hayes visited staff this morning to cut a ribbon in celebration of Hills’ latest addition being unveiled.

The prosecco bar, which also features a draft Peroni tap, is the first of its kind in Spalding.

Hayes gave a speech to staff at the store, who cheered and applauded as he declared the bar open for business.

He said he was “very excited” for the opportunity and wished all staff good luck for the future.

The bar was allowed to open as of today due to further easing of Covid-19 restrictions, which means indoor hospitality businesses can begin trading inside.
