Spalding mum calls on town to support daughter in Miss Poland UK and Ireland contest
A proud mum is asking people to vote for her daughter who is in the final 12 of the Miss Poland Teenager UK and Ireland competition.
Justyna Lukaszuk, who lives in Spalding, is keen for supporters to vote for Nadia Lukaszuk in the Miss Social Media category and voting has started.
The 15-year-old attends Spalding Academy and Justyna said: “Voting has opened on Facebook for Miss Poland and I am looking for people to support and help to vote.
“I would be very grateful and it might be a good idea for promoting Spalding too.
“We hope that Spalding will support us and Nadia will get a lot of likes.”
Animal-lover Nadia has been living in the UK with her parents and sisters for six years after moving from Olsztyn, and said: “I love spending time with both my family and friends.
“I love animals, especially cats.
“I spend a lot of time volunteering and I help my mother run her organisation, White Eagle in Spalding, and also volunteer in our town.
Nadia has ambitions to follow a career working with children and added: “I really like kids, and I hope that in the future I will be able to work with them.
“My second dream is to work as a psychotherapist.”
In the UK and Ireland, the competition was reactivated in 2017, after a six-year break.
