Spalding pub's tee-riffic donation

The Draymans Arms in Spalding presented a cheque to Macmillan Cancer Care for £1,855 on Saturday, August 17.

This was in memory of their good friend and fellow drinker Paul (Inky) Inkley who sadly passed away in 2017.

The money was raised from a golf day at Gedney Hill Golf Club on July 28, plus a presentation night which featured live music, a barbecue and raffle.

The tee-up and memorial evening raised £1,805 plus an additional £50 donation from Spalding firm 1st Choice Royal Taxis.

This beat a first fundraising effort last year which hauled in £1,600.

One of the organisers, David McGowan, said: "Paul was a very good friend – a good karaoke singer and a very good mechanic.
