Halloween high jinks at Cowbit and Sutterton pumpkin patches
There was plenty of fun in store for youngsters when they picked up a pumpkin or two this weekend.
Getting well and truly into the Halloween spirit, families flocked to two patches in the area to stock up ahead of next Monday’s spooky session.
But it wasn’t just a case of collecting a pumpkin in order to carve and ward off evil spirits at Sutterton’s PYO patch hosted by Firth Produce and Tyrrell’s Farm in Cowbit.
There were plenty of treats... without the tricks.
At Tyrrell’s Farm visitors could enjoy plenty of photo opportunities next to the imposing and spooky straw bale sculptures and also the chance to make a game of it by playing noughts and crosses with different coloured pumpkins.
In Sutterton, youngsters had the opportunity to get crafty and try out ceramic painting - or even see how far they could fling spuds with the potato catapult.
To ensure half term fun, both patches are now open daily until Sunday (10am-3pm at Sutterton and 10am-4pm at Tyrrell’s Farm).
