Punter becomes first to complete Holbeach's Crown Hotel giant cheesecake challenge

A town pub's cheesecake challenge has finally been completed - and in mindblowing fashion.

Holbeach's Crown Hotel has been offering punters the chance to demolish a giant dessert within a 10-minute time limit.

But after months of failures - some close and some not so, including our very own Victoria Fear - one customer finally beat the clock and was granted his £15 pudding on the house.

But not only did Stephen Jordan finish in the allotted time, he did so with minutes to spare - wolfing down the eight-inch diameter dessert in an astonishing 6 minutes and 45 seconds.

"It was amazing," said landlord Stuart Griffiths.

Stephen, who has been visiting the Crown Hotel while staying in the area for work, has now set his sights on being the first man to complete the venue's burger challenge.

That entails necking three beefburgers and three chicken burgers in the same bun, with a side of onion rings, cheesy chips and coleslaw within 25 minutes.

Given his latest performance you'd maybe not bet against him.
