Tydd St Mary pupils face their fears with climbing wall
Pupils at Tydd St Mary Primary with aspirations of reaching the top had the perfect chance last week when a climbing wall was brought to the school.
Every child went on to the wall, many reaching the top to ring the bell – and a large number facing their fears.
The courage shown by those genuinely terrified by the sheer height of the wall and the perseverance shown by all was evident throughout the day. The huge smiles and joy on children's faces when they experienced success and realised they can do anything they put their mind to was heart-warming.
Head teacher Sonya Ely said: "After over a year of challenges, the children's positivity and happiness is something we want to foster and harness as we move towards our normal way of working as a whole school community."
