Christmas Craft Fair at Spalding High School
Spalding High School students had chance to hone their entrepreneurial skills at a Christmas Craft Fair.
Pupils from year seven to the sixth form were offered the opportunity to make the most of the festive celebrations whilst getting their business brains into gear.
From Monday to Wednesday the school hall was transformed into a bustling market where youngsters could use the space provided to set up their own stalls and raise a little cash - for themselves or charity.
“It’s a good chance to show how they can be entrepreneurs,” said learning resources manager Kirsty Lees, who organised the three-day event, staged at lunch times.
Students worked out the whole process from choosing the products they wanted to sell to purchasing and creating them, before pricing up their goods.
Youngsters were selling a number of different products, from jewellery to baked goods, while shoppers could also take home a memento courtesy of a photo booth.
There were also fundraising raffles.
Headmistress Michele Anderson got in on the act, selling some handmade jewellery and cross stitch designs made by her and her daughter.
