Swineshead farm shop appealing for return of stolen pygmy goats
Callous thieves have stolen five pygmy goats from a Swineshead garden centre.
Staff at The Ivy's Farm Shop are appealing for the safe return of the goats, which were found missing earlier today.
A blue Toyota Colorado was seen driving away from the site at around 9.30pm last night.
Manager Roy Hilton said the goats have become popular with young customers since they were introduced to the site in May.
He said: "Never in our wildest dreams did we think that someone would be so callous as to take them.
"The children have loved coming along and seeing the goats.
"It is amazing the level of support we have had online with 1100 shares of the post.
"We are appealing for the safe return of the goats."
The farm shop had a total of seven goats and the theft was discovered at around 8.30am this morning when the gate was found to be open.
Two of the goats were left at the site and nothing else was taken.
Staff have looked over the CCTV footage when they found the blue Colorado, which had distinctive rear light cluster which runs along the length of the vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quoting incident number 55 of December 30.
