Spalding Recycling Centre announced item it cannot accept until after Bank Holiday weekend

Spalding Recycle Centre has issued a warning to users for the Bank Holiday weekend.

The West Marsh Road site has struggled to cope with demand, as recent figures have shown.

And it can expect to be extra busy this weekend as residents make use of the extra day off work to get household chores completed.

However, users have been warned they will not be able to drop off plasterboard at the centre.

And it may be a while until it is accepted again.

A statement from Lincolnshire County Council explained: “Spalding Recycling Centre cannot accept any more plsterboard.

“This will likely be until Tuesday because of the bank Holiday.”
