Annual butterfly release day in Spalding

The Butterfly Hospice is once again holding its annual Butterfly Release in Spalding, with this year's event taking place on Sunday, July 14.

This event sees hundreds of Painted Lady butterflies released into our beautiful countryside and can be enjoyed at Springfields Festival Gardens.

The day runs from 10.30am to 3pm, with stalls, games, face painting and refreshments. Butterfly releases start at noon.

You can become part of this special event by reserving your own butterfly to release. This may be in memory of a loved one, or just to celebrate life. Whatever your reason, the butterfly releases are something very special and create memories that will last forever.

You will be joined at the event by talented school choirs and singers who will perform throughout.

Hospice nursing staff will also be in attendance to lead on the thoughts for reflection.

If you would like to release your own butterfly, call 01205 311222 or email enquiries@butterflyhospice.org.uk

Butterflies cost just £7 each and you will be able to collect them on the day. Reservation deadline is June 5.

Releases also take place at Boston, Louth and Skegness.
