Restaurant plans for empty Spalding shop




An empty town centre shop could be converted into a restaurant and takeaway.

The former Nottingham Building Society building in Sheep Market, Spalding, has stood empty for about a year after the branch closed its doors in December last year.

But this site could be getting a new lease of life as a Fireaway pizza branch.

Plans for a new sign have been lodged with South Holland District Council by P Leo.

Documents submitted with the application show that there are plans for a restaurant and takeaway area at the front of the shop with residential flats on the first and second floors.

Fireaway Pizza was launched in 2016 when it had one shop in London but now has 150 branches all over the country.

Items on the menu include Nutella pizzas.
