Spalding’s Frankie and Benny’s to close this weekend

A restaurant will cease trading this weekend.

Spalding’s branch of Italian-American diner chain Frankie and Benny’s will close on Sunday, the company has revealed.

“We announced a review of our leisure estate in March and made the difficult decision to exit some of our Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito and Firejacks sites,” a statement from owner The Restaurant Group read.

“We are working closely with our impacted teams and will look to redeploy colleagues to neighbouring sites across our wider estate wherever possible.”

The restaurant, situated on the Springfields outlet site, went on the market earlier this year with a guide price of £850,000.

The Restaurant Group announced they were looking to close 35 sites earlier this year.
