Leicester Tigers player supports Spalding Rugby Club ball
A Leicester Tigers players returned to his old club to support a ball which raised nearly £10,000.
Spalding Rugby Club was pleased to welcome back Gallagher Premiership player Will Wand who auctioned off a signed Leicester Tigers shirt during the ball on Saturday.
A total of 332 people wearing an array of stylish masks went along to the Masquerade Ball themed event at Springfields Events and Conference Centre.
The event, which was organised by committee member Clair Turner, included a meal along with a performance by Zebra and DJ Shaun Neal.
Committee member Peppa Saunders was delighted with the success of the ball and says the £10,000 raised will go towards the costs of the club.
She said: “It went really well and everyone has commented abut how it was.
“We were really happy with it.”
