REVIEW OF THE YEAR: MARCH




Donington’s herb garden was given a make-over thanks to the generosity of Dejex. Staff from the businesses donated time and materials to transform the garden, which was attached to the village community library and hub.

Long Sutton Primary School welcomed Brodie the Cockerpoo to the team. Brodie made a difference to youngsters by listening to them read and sat in on pastoral support sessions by offering comfort.

School governors and parish councillors joined forces to jointly push for improvements to Cross Gates in Quadring. Chairman of the governors Jane Iszatt told councillors that the road was impossible to walk down to get to Cowley and Brown’s Primary School.

The Garth School in Spalding was celebrating after maintaining the “Outstanding” Ofsted rating it achieved in 2015. Inspectors were impressed with the dedication and hard work of staff that goes into the learning experiences they provide for pupils. The report also stated that pupils “very much” enjoyed attending school.
