Becca's Ice Cream Parlour opens its doors in Spalding
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning (Thursday) to launch the opening of a new ice cream shop.
Becca's Ice Cream Parlour in Holland Market, Spalding was opened today by Councillor Stephen Timewell.
The Monkshouse Ward member said:"I am all for encouraging new businesses to Spalding. These are the lifeblood of the town and we owe them the support.
"I hope this is a huge success - it's just what the town needs."
The family run business took over the former Wok Aroma Noodle Bar which had stood empty for some time.
Rebecca Turner (21) said: "I was so stressed last night I didn't sleep, I was up all night!"
She added: "I am a lot more excited now there are customers coming in."
The ice cream shop has space for about 20 different ice cream flavours, with its supplier offering more than 80 different flavours to choose from.
As well as selling ice cream, Becca’s Ice Cream Parlour is selling a variety of cakes, waffles, pancakes, sundaes, smoothies, milkshakes and much more.
The business welcomed its first customers shortly after opening at 10am today.
First customers Bryan and Linda Goodey enjoyed their hot drinks and lemon and sugar pancakes.
Linda said: "It is fantastic, it should be nice on a warm day and I wish them well."
Bryan added: "The pancakes are the main attraction."
Becca's Ice Cream Parlour is open every day of the week apart from Mondays.
