Spalding RNA member Terry Day makes 100th blood donation

Spalding Royal Naval Association branch member Terry Day has made his 100th blood donation.

Whilst serving in the Royal Navy at HMS Drake, Terry was encouraged to make his first donation on October 19, 1971 when the NHS Blood donation team visited the establishment and he still retains the original certificate issued to him at the time.

Attempts were made to arrange for his 100th donation to be taken on the 50th anniversary at HMS Drake, but because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, this was not possible and he finally made it at Bourne Corn Exchange.

Terry feels immensely pleased and proud to be able to reach such a milestone, has no intention of calling it a day and is determined to continue donating, for as long as his health allows.
