Police have closed a road on outskirts of Spalding and Weston Hills following a serious crash
Police have closed a road following a serious crash.
Two vehicles have been involved in the collision which has taken place on Clay Lake Bank, close to the junction of the Fulney Drove and Mill Drove North crossroads, on the outskirts of Weston Hills and Spalding.
Locals have reported that two vehicles are in a dyke.
The incident was reported just after 3.30pm today (Tuesday, February 4).
A police statement says: “The road has been closed and we are asking motorists to avoid the area at this time.”
Calls have been made for improvements at this four-way crossroads for sometime.
Coun Anthony Casson has previously called for changes and feels that safety was improved when the Mill Drove North entrance with the A16 was shut for months due to repairs during 2022 before reopening at the end of that year.
