A16 Spalding open again after accident

UPDATE: The A16 at Spalding has reopened after a collision at the Springfields roundabout this evening

A police spokesman said: "Many thanks for your patience while we responded to this incident.

PREVIOUSLY: The A16 is still closed at Spalding's Springfields roundabout following a two-vehicle accident earlier this evening (Tuesday).

The road is closed both ways from the A151 Holbeach Road to the B1180 West Marsh Road after the collision at 6.03pm.

Traffic is being affected on all approaches between Spalding Golf Club clubhouse in Surfleet and the A16/B1165 roundabout.

Traffic is now coping well after earlier gridlock.

Police said earlier that no-one was seriously injured. However, the road is still closed.
