Spalding salon celebrates 50th anniversary with rebrand
A popular salon which has been keeping Spalding well styled for half-a-century is embarking on an exciting new chapter with a fresh look.
K Collective, which was formally known as Steffen’s Hair Design, in Sheep Market, was officially launched with an exciting new image on Saturday, July 4.
The salon, which is now owned by Mrs P J King and managed by Shelley Pearson, has been decorated throughout to reflect the new direction the businesses is taking.
Shelley said: “We are really pleased with the new look of the salon.
“So are our clients. It’s so important that you feel inspired by the space you work in and that it reflects the quality of the work that we produce.
“We want it to be an environment that clients will look forward to visiting and that makes them feel special.”
The team had created a positive out of the difficult situation posed by lockdown by using this opportunity to bring about the rebrand.
The salon has been decorated from top to bottom and includes a statement new bathroom.
Shelley said: “Lockdown has given us the opportunity to do this at a much quicker rate than we had planned.
“So at least something good has come of all of the time we’ve been closed.
“We have redesigned the ground floor completely to make the space work better for our team of 17.
“The new stylish look and branding reflects who we are now, which is a ‘collective’ of like minded artists working
together in this new space.”
Steffen’s was founded in 1970 and began in another property in Spalding before moving into its well-established residence in Sheep Market.
Shelley had joined the team in September last year with her team of hairdressers and beauty therapists from Mishishi Hair and Beauty.
The team have put in place a range of safety measures since reopening on July 4.
Shelley said: “Things have been running really well since reopening and we are so happy to be back doing what we love.
“We are very busy and it’s
going to be a while before we get to work on every client as we had over 1,000 clients to rebook.
“Everyone is being very
understanding of the new guidelines and we are doing our best to make each client’s visit relaxing and enjoyable.”
