Spalding St John's School parents stopped by police after firearm reports
Police were called to a home in Spalding last night (Tuesday, October 15) after receiving reports of a firearm in a property.
Officers searched a property in Hawthorne Bank where they found a BB gun and are also investigating minor drugs offences.
Reports were also made on social media about parents being stopped from going to their cars after leaving an event at St John's School.
South Holland Police Inspector Gareth Boxall said: "We apologise to the public for any inconvenience this may have caused. While it was a BB gun and there was no danger to the public, we do not take any chances."
