Spalding High School, Spalding Grammar School and Bourne Grammar School named in top the of The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2022
Three south Lincolnshire secondary schools have been named in the top ten of the best performing in the East Midlands.
In Parent Power, The Sunday Times Schools Guide 2022, Bourne Grammar School was named the third best state secondary school in the East Midlands.
Spalding High School was named in sixth spot, while Spalding Grammar School placed seventh for the whole region.
Parent Power is widely acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the country’s highest-achieving schools.
The rankings in the secondary school league tables are determined by the average percentage of examination entries in the three years from 2017-19, gaining A* to B grades at A-level (which is given a double weighting) and the average percentage of entries returning 9-7 or A* and A grades at GCSE.
Spalding High headmistress Michele Anderson said: “Everybody at Spalding High School is thrilled to yet again be listed in the prestigious Sunday Times Parent power top schools guide.
“The results achieved by Year 11 and Year 13 students remain a testament to the very high standards set at Spalding High School and to all the hard work from all students and staff, which is as always supported by parents.”
Spalding High School had already scooped four titles at this year’s Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian Education Awards - including the Secondary School of the Year crown.
