Prolific Spalding thief Matthew Dye back behind bars

Serial shoplifter Matthew Dye has been arrested and returned to prison.

Dye (33), of The Meadows in Spalding, was handed a 26-week prison sentence in February this year after pleading guilty to a string of burglaries.

After his recent release from prison, Dye was charged with an assault and shop theft.

The Ministry of Justice then issued him with a recall to prison for breaking his licence conditions.

Lincolnshire Police have arrested him and he has been returned to prison.
