‘Severe delays’ affecting the A16 between Surfleet and Spalding




Motorists are being warned of ‘severe delays’ on the A16.

Delays of up to 13 minutes, with vehicles averaging speeds of 10mph have been reported between Spalding and Surfleet.

However, it is suggested that these issues are currently ‘easing’.

“Severe delays of 13 minutes and delays easing on A16 northbound between A16 and A152,” the AA Traffic website is reporting.

“Average speed ten mph.”

At Surfleet it adds: “Queueing traffic and traffic heavier than normal on A16 both ways near the Riverside Inn.”

The cause of the delays has not been revealed.

Drivers wishing to take an alternative route should note temporary traffic lights remain in place in Pinchbeck, whish is also causing delays.
