Sewing classes to launch at Spalding Red Lion Quarter campus of Boston College




If you have been watching the Great British Sewing Bee and fancy having a go, then a series of classes starting in the autumn could be for you.

Nicola Godbolt will offering a number of courses at the Spalding campus of Boston College which will help complete beginners along with providing something for those who would like a challenge.

She said: “The club is now in its third year and is very successful, all classes are friendly and relaxing it has been lovely to see friendships forming.”

Free courses which will be starting in September at the Red Lion Street site and running for six weeks are:

- Monday, September 11 - beginners sewing

- Tuesday, September 12 – making skirts, learners will bring in a pattern and will be shown handy techniques

- Wednesday, September 13 - Pattern cutting skirts which is for beginners and learners will make a pattern of a skirt to their own measurement.

- Monday, November 6 - Quilting for Christmas when learners will make a quilted table runner and placemats for their festive table.

- Tuesday, November 7 - Pattern cutting bodices.
