Youngsters were given a taste of the pirates’ life by ‘walking the plank’.

Pupils from Holbeach Primary Academy became junior pirates for the day as part of a fun day organised by teachers.

Youngsters had fun by creating their own parrots, telescopes, hooks and even ships during a craft session.

They were then set the challenge of solving clues as part of a treasure hunt.

Some of the youngsters wore fancy dress during the event.

And the school had even created a set up a bench in order for children to ‘walk the plank’.
