St Patrick revellers enjoy the craic at Whaplode Drove Elizabethan Centre
Revellers enjoyed the ‘craic’ when they celebrated St Patrick’s Day with a night of song and dance.
The St Patrick karaoke night was held at Whaplode Drove Elizabethan Centre.
A ‘good turn out’ of people had the chance to sing with a mic in front of a crowd and enjoy entertainment late into the evening.
David Barfoot, social club committee member and organiser, said: “We hadn't done St Patrick's day so it was something different.
“It went very well.
“There was a good turn out and everybody enjoyed themselves.”
Those attending wore a sea of green to celebrate Ireland’s foremost patron saint whose death is traditionally marked on March 17 each year.
Mr Barfoot added: “They could sing whatever songs they wanted.
“It was generally a fun night.
“We always try to put things on and match events happening nationally.”
There are a number of events ahead and throughout the year including an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday, April 6. There are also plans for bingo nights and afternoon tea on Mothering Sunday, March 30.
