Crowland house fire

Carelessly discarded smoking materials caused a house blaze in Crowland yesterday (Sunday) evening.

Fire crews from the town, plus Spalding and Market Deeping, attended the incident at a property on Horseshoe Court at 6.35pm.

There was severe fire damage to a sofa and severe smoke damage to the remainder of the property.

Four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used in extinguishing the blaze and positive pressure was used to ventilate the property.
