Holbeach and Spalding solicitors welcomes new faces

Calthrops LLP are celebrating the arrival of new staff into their Spalding and Holbeach offices along with two trainees.

Zoe Kwiatkowska joined the conveyancing department in July as a senior solicitor in the Holbeach office. Zoe qualified as a solicitor in 2004 after doing her training for a firm in Peterborough before working in Grantham for a few years. Most recently, Zoe worked at Chattertons in Spalding for 12 years, where she became a partner with responsibility for the firm’s Spalding office.

Zoe has always lived locally and went to the Spalding High School before doing her LLB Law (Hons) degree and LPC at Leicester De Montfort. Zoe’s aim is to also take on commercial work and development sites acting for developer clients.

Christian Green joined Calthrops in 2016 as a law graduate and became a paralegal in the property department whilst studying for his LPC part time. Christian has obtained a distinction in his LPC and has now embarked on his training contract to qualify as a solicitor in January 2021.

Christian saw his passion for law emerge while at Spalding Grammar School where he studied A Level law. His eventual goal is to become a partner at Calthrops and to have an active input on the future of the firm.

Kickboxing champion Jack Bristowe has also recently joined the Calthrops family in July from studying law at Leeds Beckett University and has just finished his LPC and LLM at the University of Law there, where he is awaiting his grades and then hoping to join Christian on a training contract in October.

Jack not only has a passion for the law but has five kickboxing world titles

Jack, also a former Spalding Grammar student, not only has a passion for the law but has five kickboxing world titles, is a British University boxing champion, a coach and previous captain of his university boxing team. His goal is to become a solicitor within the firm.

Conveyancing executive Somara Donger first joined Calthrops when she did work experience from the Post 16 Centre in 2010 and then joined full time as an office junior/trainee secretary in October 2011 straight from sixth form. She is now studying with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) to become a conveyancing practitioner and is hoping to qualify in August 2020.

Fitness Instructor Laura McGrath hung up her trainers to join Calthrops in 2015 after undergoing some vigorous mock interviews and training scenarios and won a place as a paralegal. Laura works in the private client department and is currently studying with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals to attain the skills and qualifications to be a legally qualified paralegal to undertake the completion of wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate/estate administration work.

Calthrops has also welcomed two office juniors/trainee secretaries. Callum Doades is working in the Holbeach office for senior private client solicitor Kate Tingey and Vytaute Kontautaite is based in the Spalding office, working in the litigation and family department.
