General Election 2019: South Holland reaction to exit polls
Some of the candidates have given their reaction to the latest exit polls which are predicting a Conservative majority.
Polls conducted by the BBC are suggesting that the Tories will win with a majority of 86 seats.
Sir John Hayes (Con) said: "Polls are polls and results are results. I have never really gone too much on a poll before but obviously let's see what happens. But it does reflect what I have found as I went around today."
Mark Popple (Lab) said it would be a disappointing result for Labour.
He said: "The exit polls normally by historical comparison are never too far off. If the results are correct it would be a very disappointing result for Labour."
Leader of South Holland District Council Gary Porter said: "It is very interesting but we need to wait to see it verified by results."
