Spalding Inner Wheel Club raises £900 for good causes around world




More than 60 members and guests attended the Inner Wheel Club of Spalding's international service lunch at St Mary's Church Hall, Pinchbeck.

Guest speaker Wendy Chew spoke about Hope and Homes for Children, the British charity working in seven countries in Europe and Africa.

And fellow guest speaker Tracey Vowels spoke about her life as a fitness instructor in Spalding.

Marina Hutchison, the club's international service officer, said about £900 was raised from the lunch for the good causes around the world that members support.

She said over the last year the club has given £1,200 in international aid.

Among organisations previously supported by the club are UNICEF's Refugee Relief, Kids for Kids, founded to support children in Darfur, Sudan, and the Friends of Amasango in South Africa.
