Ashwood Nursing Home in Spalding keeps CQC rating of ‘good’ in all areas
Ashwood Nursing Home in Spalding has kept its ‘Good’ rating in all areas after its latest Care Quality Commission report.
The report praised the Spalding Common home's open and inclusive culture and noted staff were kind, patient and considerate.
Family members said 'The staff are so patient with people, it’s a pleasure to see', and 'The staff are excellent, they really do care about the residents'.
The report found that people and their families were fully involved in decisions about care and that ‘Life Story’ books were used to promote understanding of people’s preferences.
Inspectors noted that the home had benefited from an extensive refurbishment which has seen complete redecoration and remodelling of the lounge and dining areas. The nursing home now has a bistro café, hair salon and shop for residents to enjoy.
