Spring Into Spalding event set to bring fun for the whole family




A popular town event will return for a fun-filled day of seasonal activities.

Spring Into Spalding is set to take place on Saturday, March 29, between 10am and 2pm, in the town centre.

Whether you want to try your hand at baking a sweet treat for the cake competition, enjoy a live performance on the town’s stage or meet Pete the animatronic dinosaur– the event will offer something for the whole family.

Visitors can sample a range of vendors at the outdoor market, create something at the craft corner or get a free spring-themed face paint.

There will be a comedy maypole workshop and street entertainment by Busy Bees, and don’t forget to submit an entry for the Easter bonnet competition.

A return of the Chairman’s Bake Off competition will see Great British Bake Off winner for 2023, Matty Edgell, judging people’s baked goods alongside South Holland District Chairman, Coun Andrew Woolf and Sarah Halgarth of Bookmark.

Make sure to bring your cake to the South Holland Centre at 10am for setting up – judging will take place from 11am.

Broad Street Methodist Church will be joining in with the event, with free craft activities and a coffee morning between 10am and 1pm. The Methodist church will also be hosting a spring crafts and coffee morning on Saturday, March 29 between 10am and 1pm.
