Holbeach St Marks, Gedney Drove End and Sutton Bridge Westmere Primary School teachers recreate Livin' On A Prayer to entertain pupils

Teachers have been grabbing their guitars and 80s costumes to rock out in an entertaining new video.

Staff at The Griffin Federation, which includes Holbeach St Marks Gedney Drove End and Westmere Primary Schools, have recreated the classic Livin' On A Prayer to help put a smile on the faces of pupils and parents during the lockdown.

Head teacher of Holbeach St Marks Primary School Sally Massey said the video "When The Griffins Escape" has received a great reaction.

She said: "We are absolutely delighted with the video and the feedback from parents on our Facebook page was phenomenal.

"When we organised the video we were deep in lockdown and it was what everyone needed for a lift and people had a lot of fun."

Mrs Massey, whose husband Simon had put the video together, said the Bon Jovi song was a popular choice with the children as it used during Times Tables Rock Stars.

Each staff member was filmed doing an everyday tasks such as hoovering or baking before they began to don guitars and hair brushes to rock out.

Staff had sent in their individual clips which were then compiled by Mr Massey into the highly entertaining video.

Mrs Massey said: "We are really pleased with how it turned out. Simon made sure that everyone is exactly on time.

"Tanya Watts, one of our teaching assistants, stole the show as did Eddi the school dog."

The school is part of the Griffin Federation, which also includes Gedney Drove End and Westmere Primary Schools.
