Spalding 10-pin bowling alley's striking new look
A bowling alley has reopened with a great new look following a major investment.
Area manager Simon Moppett said that Spalding Bowl, which was previously known as Alley Catz, has undergone a £120,000 refurbishment.
The ten-lane alley in Westlode Street has been redecorated, and there are plans to create a vintage video game arcade upstairs.
The bowling alley reopened on Friday last week after being closed for a number of weeks.
Mr Moppett has been pleased with the reaction from the public to the reopening.
He said: “The opening was very nice and we have had some great people through the door who have been very complementary.
“We are now confident that we have a product that we know people are going to like.”
The bowling alley, which was once Merlin’s nightclub, has been completely redecorated with new flooring.
Mr Moppett said that the bowling alley machinery has been repaired.
Future improvements will include the creation of a vintage video arcade with classics such as Pac-Man, Mortal Combat and Space Invaders.
Mr Moppett also said that there are plans to bring a table version of Shuffle Board.
He said: “I hope the investment in the town is going to be well received.”
Prices range from £25 for families, adults £6.50 and juniors £5.50.
