Holbeach Food Festival draws thousands and hosts strongman competition judged by former World's Strongest Man winner Geoff Capes
Holbeach Food Festival was "buzzing" after a large turnout at the weekend, with local stalls selling out despite a rainy first day.
The festival returned to Carter's park for it's sixth year with more than 35 stalls bringing food, drink and arts and crafts.
Holbeach county councillor and the event organiser, Nick Worth, said: "We were just short of 3,000 people on Sunday, it was just buzzing.
"It was hugely popular, we had a lot of people from near and far, from Nottingham and even some up from Cornwall."
The South Lincolnshire's Strongest 2019 competition provided entertainment and was refereed by former World's Strongest Man winner Geoff Capes.
Coun Worth said: "They were lifting serious weights and it was great entertainment, although I wouldn't want to try it myself."
The competition was organised by the town's Royals Gym, who hope to take part again next year and aim to get more women involved in the competition.
This is the first time the free festival has been held over a whole weekend and the organisers said that brought lots of new people who would usually work during the week.
Another fresh idea for the festival, with the aim of reducing plastic use, saw 1,000 customised linen bags handed out to stalls and visitors, an innovation embraced by the fruit and vegetable vendors who did "phenomenally well".
The festival will return next year and organisers hope to fill Carter's Park with even more stalls.
Coun Worth said: "We are always encouraging more people to join, it would be nice to get more crafts next year too.
"It is simply an event for people to enjoy and for local stalls to make money."
