Storm Eunice: Met Office issues yellow weather warning for Spalding and surrounding areas as strong winds forecast for Friday, February 18
Strong winds are set to batter the country later this week as Storm Eunice arrives in the UK.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the whole of England on Friday, meaning 'significant disruption' is likely to be caused.
The Met Office has put the warning in place from midnight on Friday, February 18 until 9pm the same day.
A statement on the Met Office website said there is a 'small chance' that flying debris, such as trees being brought down, could cause a danger to life.
There is also a warning for possible power cuts, as well as a disruption to public transport.
Coastal residents are also being advised 'that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties'.
Similar yellow and amber warnings are also in place further north for Wednesday and Thursday connected to Storm Dudley.
